Lexar unveils special edition Red Ballistix DDR2 memory
Keeping the faith in DDR2 Lexar Media has now presented its newest Crucial Ballistix Tracer modules. The Special Edition DDR2-800 memory is full on bling as it feature two rows of red activity-indicating LEDs, red ground-effects LEDs, and a red printed circuit board aka PCB covered with a red heat spreader with a raised, diamond-cut logo and clip-less design.

"Crucial Ballistix Tracer Red 2GB 800MHz modules are designed to impress both inside and out," said Jeremy Mortenson, Lexar Media’s DRAM Product Marketing Manager. "Hiding beneath the attractive casing is our award-winning Crucial Ballistix 800MHz memory, which maximizes performance through high speeds and low latencies. Plus, they are available in our highest capacity modules to date."

The new Ballistix memory is set to work at 800 MHz with timings of 4-4-4-12 and will become available, as 2GB modules and 4GB kits in Q2.
